    OpenSky can double or quadruple network voice capacity through the use of spectrally-efficient 4-slot Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA). Multiple transmissions are allocated on a single RF channel (6.25 kHz equivalence on 25 kHz bandwidth).

    The new Harris SG5300 is an ideal fixed-point, wireless data radio to help manage and monitor network infrastructure such as line reclosers and capacitor banks. Operating in the 800 MHz and 900 MHz frequency bands, the SG5300 contains both a serial and Ethernet interface and supports multiple protocols including DNP3 for ease of connection to RTUs. Utilizing the OpenSky network, communication does not impact voice communications of service personnel.
